Relief sales are organized by Mennonites in communities across North America as a way to raise money to assist those in need around the world. The proceeds from these sales are forwarded to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a relief, service, community development and peace agency of North American Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches. MCC, founded in 1920, has over 1,000 people in service in 58 countries around the world and throughout North America in a variety of programs. Because MCC is a largely volunteer organization, nearly 93% of MCC funds reach those in need.
